Hello there!
I am super excited to be hosting a special edition of our monthly show ‘An Evening of Magic’, this Sunday. This will be a most fantastic show, featuring Karthik Rao, Unusualist AJ, the Amazing iTwins, and loads of surprise guests. In fact, it is with these very same performers that we had launched this unique magic show exactly a year back.
If you are in Bangalore this weekend, come join us at this very special First Anniversary show of ‘An Evening of Magic’ on the 11th of August at 6:00pm at Atta Galatta, Indiranagar. Our unique monthly show with an ever-changing ensemble of magicians has remained hugely popular with our audiences, many of who have come back repeatedly to catch new and latest acts!
It was with the kind support of Subodh Shankar of Atta Galatta and the unwavering enthusiasm of my magician friends from Bangalore and beyond, that I launched “An Evening of Magic” back in August 2023. The idea was to host a magic open mic of sorts — curated and hosted by me — as a recurring show every month, presenting the best of magic and mentalism from Bangalore and other parts of the country.
The first show featured my friends Karthik Rao, Ajit Badarinath, and of course, The Amazing iTwins: Inesh & Ishaan Shenoy. Magicians Sathwik and Waseem also joined in to make this launch event that much more special. The inaugural event gave us a great start as it was graced by a wonderful audience, who enjoyed the show immensely!
Since that launch, we have been successfully hosting an amazing show every month, featuring up-and-coming stars of magic sharing the stage with experienced popular performers from Bangalore and beyond. The highlight of the initiative has been that we have been able to encourage newcomers and hobby magicians to get on stage — some of them for the first time ever!
Magicians and magic enthusiasts have leveraged our platform to perform and entertain to a room full of enthusiastic people of all ages, many of who keep coming back to watch new, unique acts each month. If you are into magic, I would highly recommend joining us at one of these shows, and showcasing your talent to a most fantastic audience!
Our featured performers over this one year have included, Prahlad Acharya, Unusualist AJ, Prakash Savkoor, Karthik Rao, Wizard Waseem, Mahesh Naik, Sathwik Gupta, Ronak Ambrose, Shinoj Manoly, Divyansh Apurva, Nayan Ganapathi, and of course, the Amazing iTwins. This monthly show has also given us an opportunity to build on our camaraderie and further develop our craft, by jamming with each other and with invaluable inputs of experienced magicians.
We have also had a lot of amateur magicians, including Divyansh, Nayan, Aditya, and many more, join our show to perform their first-ever stage acts. Each of them have been able to hone their acts with the guidance of other magicians, to further develop their acts and grow as performers and be our featured artistes!
I think it is fantastic that we can have the same magicians that performed our inaugural show to come back and perform for us again — along with many surprise guests — to make this a most memorable event.
